After a run of bad results, are Hartlepool United in danger of slipping into the relegation zone and being relegated to the National League North.
Background
Are relegation to the National League last season, Pools started the season brightly under John Askey as we won 4 of the opening 5 games. However following the injury to Anthony Mancini and Dan Dodds. We went on a poor run which resulted in John Askey being sacked after a 2-0 defeat against Oldham Athletic. Kevin Phillips would be appointed in January and after a good run of results, we are now winless in 3 and sit only 4 points above the relegation zone.
Do I Believe We Will Slip Into Relegation Zone.
The simple is absolutely not. Like I have mentioned in previous articles, I believe that there are teams below us who are worse than us and are in more danger of getting relegated. I think this run needs be addressed however as there is a small chance of slipping closer to the drop zone but I do believe that we have a squad in place that should be able to pull away from the relegation zone.
Final Thoughts
Overall I don’t believe that relegation is going to happen but I do think if we keep losing games then there is definitely a risk of slipping down the table and ending up in the National League North.
