Hartlepool United face another season in the National League following a 12th placed last season. In this article, I will be discussing my views and opinions about what we can expect next season.
Darren Sarll
Following the sacking of Kevin Philips, Pools appointed Darren Sarll as the clubs new manager. Sarll arrives with a proven track record follow impressive seasons at Yeovil and Working. I won’t talk much about Sarll as I have already discussed him and his style of football but i personally feel excited about having Sarll as manager given his impressive track record and his willingness to win football matches by playing a high press and a direct style of play.
Signings
Hartlepool United have signed 5 players so far this window. Jack Hunter, Greg Slogget and Nathan Sheron arrive as midfielder cover while Adam Campbell and Luke Charman arrive to bolster our attack. While I believe we still need a good 5-6 players, the signings so far have really impressed me and I’m excited to see them in action.
My Overall Thoughts
Overall I believe Hartlepool United at this current moment are good enough to challenge for the playoffs. We have an experienced manager and we have players who are capable enough for this league. Anything lower than playoffs will be a failure for me but overall it will be exciting to see Hartlepool United in action this campaign.
