One of the best La Liga title races this league has seen in a while, as the Big 3 all sit within three points of each other. Barcelona’s poor form sees them to continue in dropping points, while both Madrid teams keep picking up massive wins to jump ahead of the Catalan giants.
Hansi Flick’s side had an amazing start to the season, winning matches left and ride, including a 4-0 thrashing of Real Madrid in El Classico. But recent results have seen them fall off that top spot and it’s now been claimed by Atletico. Recent results have shown that maybe Barcelona aren’t where they want to be yet, and that start was a positive sign of improvement for the club but they still have a ways to go before they can get back to what they once were.
Real Madrid were the laughing stock of world football, and so too was Kylian Mbappe. Dropping games they really shouldn’t have, and Mbappe struggling to find the back of the net. But as Madrid start to pick up wins and Mbappe keeps scoring, the haters have seemingly stopped talking. They may sit 1 point off top spot, but with a game in hand they should be able to take that 1st place spot, and as long as Bellingham, Vini Jr, and Mbappe keep producing goals at the rate they have been, there’s no stopping this high powered Real Madrid team.
Atletico have been really surprising this year, and they have been able to more than just contend with both Spanish giants, they have jumped them both. Julian Alvarez and Antoine Griezmann have been balling out this season, delivering when Atleti need it the most. And just recently they earned a last minute winner to beat Barcelona 2-1 on the road and finally claim that 1st place spot. Not having won the league since 2020-2021 they look to get back to winning ways, and claim yet another La Liga title.
