The decline of Liverpool’s form

The dream Fairwell of Jurgen Klopp had become a nightmare in the last 2 weeks with liverpool out of europa league and falling 3rd in premier league equal in points with arsenal and 2 away from the league leaders Manchester City. A team that seemed to always find the way throughout the season now cannot do the basics to win a football game. But where did all go wrong for Liverpool lately. If we take a look in Liverpol’s last games apart from the 2 games against Atalanta in the europa league where they played the worse football we have seen them playing this season we will notice than in most of these games Liverpool has a high number of expected goals and of big chances missed. It is fair to say that Liverpool has been really wasteful lately infront of goal and not as clinical as they used to be. Even in the their draw against Manchester City at anfield where everyone praised their performance especially in the 2nd half Liveprool missed some big chances to win the game. That game was followed by the thriller at Old Trafford in the fa Cup where Liverpool had the absolute control for most of the 2nd half but they were unable to put the game to bed and ended losing the game in extra time. After the international break Liverpool got back to back home wins against Brighton and Sheffield united but even in those games they were unable to kill the games off. Following this 2 games was a trip at Old Trafford. Liverpool took the lead with Luis diaz early and absolutely dominated for the first half but yet again they couldn’t convert the chances to goals. 2 mistakes 2 goals in the 2nd half for Manchester United with liverpool only being able to get a point following a late Salah penalty. Same story against Crystal Palace last Sunday. After falling behind early Liveprool was unable to score forced in the first home defeat of the season in the league. It is fair to say that except the attackers not being able to convert the defence hasn’t been great either. Liverpool concedes goals easily and most of them are avoidable. All these have come together causing a decline in Liverpool’s form and putting Jurgen’s Klopp perfect Farwell in the ice for now[ ]
